Faultline Web terms
Version 1.2 · Effective 2026-10-12
The short version: Faultline is in alpha, you keep your content, results can be wrong, and you can cancel a paid plan by email.
What these terms cover
These terms cover the hosted Faultline web app at faultline.nxtg.ai and its sister sites (FaultCheck, ClaimScan, VerifAI). They add to the NXTG.AI Terms of Service (https://nxtg.ai/legal/terms-of-service). Where the two differ for the web app, these terms apply. Everything they do not address, including warranty, limitation of liability and governing law, is governed by the NXTG.AI Terms.
Alpha
Alpha: limits and features may change; no SLA. Plans, scan limits, features and prices can change while Faultline is in alpha. We will show changes on the pricing page and in the changelog.
Accounts
Sign-in is handled by Clerk. You are responsible for activity on your account. Anonymous use is limited and protected by a Cloudflare Turnstile bot check.
Paid plans and billing
Personal and Pro are monthly subscriptions billed through Stripe. A subscription renews each month until it is cancelled. Plan limits are listed on the pricing page and enforced by the server.
Prices exclude taxes. Where we must collect sales tax or VAT, we add it at checkout based on the location you enter. Business customers in the EU and UK account for VAT themselves under the reverse charge where it applies.
Manage or cancel your Personal or Pro subscription directly through the Stripe-hosted billing portal on the signed-in Pricing page. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the plan stays active until then. For billing questions or refund requests, email faultline.web@nxtg.ai.
Enterprise plans are set by a separate written agreement, and that agreement governs their billing and cancellation.
Your content
You keep all rights to the text you submit. You let us process it to run your scan: we send it to the Faultline engine and to the AI provider that verifies it. Do not submit text you are not allowed to share, secrets, or sensitive personal data.
A share link makes that scan (its first 200 characters and its results, including the claims extracted from your text) readable by anyone who has the link, for 30 days.
Results are informational
Faultline uses AI models and live sources to judge claims, and both can be wrong. Treat a verdict as a starting point, not a conclusion. Framework and regulation mappings (for example NIST AI RMF, GDPR or the EU AI Act) are mappings, not certifications, and nothing Faultline produces is legal or compliance advice.
Fair use
Do not try to get around scan limits, quotas, rate limits or the bot check, and do not use Faultline for anything unlawful. We may suspend access that does.
